Turmeric Smoothie

A golden sweet smoothie bowl! This smoothie requires under 5 ingredients and is a combination of pineapple, banana, turmeric and milk. It is a great anti-inflammatory treat to try once a week to boost your immunity.

Equipment

  • 1 Blender
  • Measuring cups
  • Smoothie Bowl/Cup/Mason Jar

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups frozen pineapple
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 cup almond milk

Instructions
 

  • Blend pineapple, banana, turmeric and milk together until smooth and creamy.
  • Pour the smoothie into a bowl or cup and add your desired toppings (fresh fruit, chia seeds, coconut flakes, cocoa nibs, nuts) and enjoy!

Notes

  • I used frozen fruit for this smoothie as I wanted it to have a thick texture. If you prefer it to be drinkable, you can use fresh fruit. 
  • Add milk to your blender last so you have an idea about how thick you would like your smoothie to be. Add more milk if you would like a weaker consistency. Add less milk if you would like a thicker consistency.
  • It is best to drink this smoothie as soon as you make it to gain its highest nutritional value.
