5 Minute Iced Matcha Latte with Oat Milk (Vegan Recipe)

This refreshing vegan iced matcha latte is made with oat milk, maple syrup, and premium matcha powder. Naturally energizing, antioxidant-rich, and ready in 5 minutes!

Equipment

  • 1 bowl
  • 1 bamboo matcha whisk
  • 1 teaspoon
  • 1 glass

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp premium grade matcha powder
  • 3/4 glass of milk of choice
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • a few ice cups to fill the glass

Instructions
 

  • Combine half a glass of cold milk and sweetener together. Mix well with an electric whisk or spoon.
  • In a separate bowl or measuring jug, combine warm water and matcha powder. Mix with an electric whisk or matcha bamboo whisk until a thin layer of foamy bubbles form at the top.
  • Add ice to the glass of sweetened milk. Leave space at the top of the glass to pour in the matcha mixture.
  • Slowly pour the matcha mixture over the glass of iced milk.
  • Stir well until the sweetened milk and matcha are well combined.

Notes

  • If you are using a bamboo matcha whisk, remember to soak this whisk in warm water before use. This will soften the bristles and make it easier to mix matcha.
  • Also, if you want a creamier, cafĂ©-style drink, try using barista-style oat milk, which is specially made to foam and blend smoothly with matcha.
